ANNOUNCEMENTS

Annual Registration: Now Open!

Each year, families are asked to complete the online registration process to confirm their student will attend a Glenbrook High School or receive educational services the following school year. This includes students who are district placed or receiving transition services

Families can complete the annual registration (different from the pre-registration completed by the class of 2029 earlier this year) by logging into their ParentSchool account and clicking "Online Registration 2025-26 School Year" from the left-side navigation panel.

This process should take approximately five minutes for each student and must be completed by Friday, June 20, 2025.

FAFSA Reminder for Seniors

Senior Graduation Requirement - State legislation requires public high school senior students to complete the FAFSA or a state aid application as a prerequisite to receiving a high school diploma. If your family chooses not to fill out the FAFSA, you will need to electronically complete the FAFSA Non Participation form at www.studentportal.isac.org in order to receive your diploma. Even if your student will not be attending college, you must complete a Non-Participation Form.

Titans Helping Titans Prom Shopping Days

Each year, the Titans Helping Titans committee of the Parents Association helps provide free, gently used clothing and accessories for students attending Prom.   If you have any clothing or accessories to donate, please drop them off at the GBS Main Entrance between now and April 30th.  Thank you to those who have donated dresses, suits, shirts, and shoes so far!

We also need volunteers to help staff the shop during the Shopping Days week (April 28-May 2).  If you are able to help supervise the room of clothing, organize and hang up donated clothing, and provide advice to students as they shop, please sign up here.  If you have any questions, please reach out to the Parents Association Titans Helping Titans Co-Chairs Heather Plunkett at plunkett.heather@gmail.com or Demetra Christos at dchristos@foleymansfield.com.

Onward House Toiletry & Ready-to-Eat Food Drive

Each week, Onward House Club members volunteer as tutors at the Onward House Community Center’s after school program in Chicago. Right now, Onward House is seeking donations for their Food Pantry which will support families in underserved communities within Chicago.

Our club is collecting granola bars, dry cereal, protein bars, fruit cups, canned fruit, applesauce, baby food, can openers, toothpaste, shampoo, body wash, mouthwash and toilet paper through Friday, May 2.

Please drop off your donations in the designated boxes at the main entrance, the main office, the SAO, or in departmental offices. Thank you for your support.

 Finalizing Post-High School Plans

Starting April 21, GBS seniors will begin meeting with their counselors to finalize their post-high school plans. This is a very exciting time for all seniors, and we know it may come with a mix of emotions–joy, anticipation, and even a bit of uncertainty.

To celebrate this important milestone, seniors will have the opportunity to share their post-high school plan by writing their next steps on the SAC courtyard windows. While students are welcome to celebrate their plan independently, please note that there will be no additional school-sponsored events specifically recognizing post-high school plans.

 GBS Titan Tot Preschool Registration

Glenbrook South Titan Tot Preschool Registration for the 2025-26 school year is underway.

The GBS preschool program is open to three to five year old children who are residents of High School District 225 that include Glenview, Golf, Northfield and Northbrook. All students must be three years old and toilet trained by September 1st of the enrolling school year. GBS Preschool is in session Monday through Friday, 8:15 a.m. - 12:15 p.m. September through May. We follow  the high school calendar.

Please fill out the Interest Form to request an application for registration.

Glenbrook Foundation Annual Fundraiser: "Cellblock Celebration" Musical Dinner

The Glenbrook High School Foundation will be hosting its annual fundraiser, the Cellblock Celebration, on Saturday, May 3, 2025.  Included in this exclusive package is a delectable full-course dinner, followed by premium, center-stage seats to the Glenbrook musical "Chicago" at GBS. By securing these prime seats, you not only elevate your own experience but also contribute to a worthy cause.  Tickets may be purchased on Cur8.com

The Glenbrook High School Foundation, an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, is devoted to financing programs and projects within District 225 that transcend the support provided by tax dollars.  By investing in innovative educational approaches, leadership development programs, and scholarships, the Foundation strives to ensure that every Glenbrook student has access to an education that is both inspiring and transformative, fostering their talents, aspirations, and readiness for future success.  To learn more go to glenbrookfoundation.org.
