Homework Free Zone

As Passover begins on April 12 and Passover Seders are on April 12-13, our next Homework Free Zone will take place April 14 -15 for those who celebrate. In addition, Good Friday for both Eastern Orthodox and Western Christians is on April 18, and Easter is on April 20. Therefore, the last homework free zone of the year will be from April 21-23 for those who celebrate. Students should inform their teachers if they are observing these holidays in advance so that teachers can plan accordingly.

 

Glenbrook Musical Tickets on Sale

Tickets for this year's Glenbrook Musical, Chicago, will be on sale beginning March 17. Reserved seat tickets are $17 and can be purchased online through cur8.com. Performances will be held in the Watson Auditorium at GBS on April 30 and May 1-3 at 7 p.m.

Looking for a Summer Job?

Glenbrook High School District 225 is seeking student workers to assist with key projects in the bookstore over the summer. This temporary position offers a great opportunity to gain valuable experience and skills.

 Titans Helping Titans Prom Wear Drive

Help us make prom amazing for everyone! Donate prom clothing items or salon services for students in need. Donations will be collected through April 25, 2025.

Donate new or gently used:

  • Formal wear including dresses, tuxes and suits
  • Accessories including ties, shoes, purses, belts, etc.
  • Donations can include certificates or discounts for:
    • Haircuts or Hair styling/Updos
    • Manicures and Pedicures
    • Makeup Application
    • Corsages and Boutonnieres

Please drop off donations at the GBS main entrance.

 Onward House Toiletry & Ready-to-Eat Food Drive

Each week, Onward House Club members volunteer as tutors at the Onward House Community Center’s after school program in Chicago. Right now, Onward House is seeking donations for their Food Pantry which will support families in underserved communities within Chicago.

Our club is collecting granola bars, dry cereal, protein bars, fruit cups, canned fruit, applesauce, baby food, can openers, toothpaste, shampoo, body wash, mouthwash and toilet paper through Friday, May 2.  

Please drop off your donations in the designated boxes at the main entrance, the main office, the SAO, or in departmental offices. Thank you for your support.

 

 Grad Yard Sign Pick Up

Have you ordered a Class of 2025 yard sign for your graduating senior? The next opportunity to pick up Class of 2025 yard signs is on Saturday, April 19, from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Come to the main entrance parking lot to pick up your sign.  

If you have not ordered a sign, you may do that by visiting the GBS Bookstore, ordering one through the optional fees on eFunds, or by bringing $15 cash to the pick-up event on April 19. If you have any questions, email gbsgradnight@gmail.com. 

 

 GBS Parent Panel: Life After High School

Back by popular demand!  Join us for our GBS Parent Panel: Parenting Your Student for Life After High School. The event is in-person at GBS in the Lyceum. Please enter through Door OO/North Entrance.

Our panel includes experienced parents of GBS seniors and graduates who will share advice on all the tips they wish they knew as their students progressed through high school -- navigating post high school independence and plans, the college prep and application process, college visits, practical things your student needs to know as they prepare to leave home, and more!  

Please submit your question(s) through this form by Sunday, April 13. We will cover as many as possible at the event and answer live questions from the audience. We hope to see you there!

 

Glenbrook Foundation Annual Fundraiser: "Cellblock Celebration" Musical Dinner

The Glenbrook High School Foundation will be hosting its annual fundraiser, the Cellblock Celebration, on Saturday, May 3, 2025.  Included in this exclusive package is a delectable full-course dinner, followed by premium, center-stage seats to the Glenbrook musical "Chicago" at GBS. Graduation for the CLASS OF 2025 is just a few months away!

Whether you have a graduate this year, know a graduate or have younger students at GBS, we would like to ask for your support.
